Live 11 lost the audio interface configuration

Hi all. My audio interface is my X-32 mixer with X-USB card (32 ch in/out). Some weeks ago my X-USB card died - Live wouldn't recognize any audio interface anymore (I tried different USB cables and also different computers, to no avail). So I was lucky enough to get a used and working X-USB card fro...

It shouldn’t have much impact as long you don’t have any plug in on those tracks you’re not using. Easy enough to test on your end though, just keep adding tracks to your template watch the cpu meter.
Perfect, thanks for replying... I'll try it out!

Template for recording - how many tracks is "too many"?

Hi there. I am thinking about creating a simple template for myself. It should have all the tracks for all my studio instruments ready, with the correct labels and set to Monitor them all. My question is: does it do any harm to performance, having all instruments (say 15) ready on their tracks in a ...

Re: Audio level in final output

You can add a limiter on the master at the beginning of your recording sessions but beware that most limiters add a lot of latency so that will affect your performances and timings. Also it colours the sound so it will effect how you are mixing as you make the track. Oh, didn't know that a limiter ...

Random pops

Hi! I've noticed random pops (very loud ones!) to appear at my X32 mixing desk on the USB source coming from my Mac Mini. When these happen, I also notice a variation on the MIDI clock output, which Live is sending out via E-RM multiclock plugin to my MultiClock. What could the source of these rando...

Re: Audio level in final output

As you've hit the topic "limiter on the master": - does it make sense to put a limiter already at the beginning of each tracking/recording session? - what are the most useful settings on a limiter? Ceiling/gain/lookahead/release (are there even more?). - I know there are plenty of differen...

[SOLVED] Re: No input on channels 1&2

OK, it's solved!
I had disabled mic input on Mac OS and this is mapped to channels 1/2 so I did not get any sound.
That was it!

Re: No input on channels 1&2

can you hear the signal on channels 1/2 directly from the X32? e.g. from headphones plugged directly into the X32? if you can then check your routing setup in the X32. maybe it's messed up. if the signal seems to be fine within the X32, the next possibility is an audio driver issue on your computer...

Maybe try contacting behringer?
I don't know if the official support would take care of this - the X32 is for sure out of its warranty period.

Really nobody with Ableton Live using an X32 here? :-o

maybe it's a channel numbering issue? do you get sound in other apps besides Live?
So, I checked with Reaper and same thing here: I do not get audio input on channels 1/2 - like Ableton Live.
Where should I be looking into?

I thought of this as well, but interesting enough: I have channels 3&4 which are correctly mapped into Ableton Live as 3&4...

No input on channels 1&2

Hi there. I'm using a Behringer X32 as my sound card, which is fed via USB into my Mac Mini. Now, I've noticed that on Ableton Live 11.2.6 I do not receive any audio input on channels 1/2. Is there any caveat, or anything I should know regarding these two channels? Are they somehow "disabled&qu...

Warp is non-destructive and calculated real-time, it doesn't affect the recorded audio file (which is why you can enable/disable it at will).

Most stuff in Live is non-destructive and will not affect the original audio (it is either real-time or a new copy of the file is created).
Thank you!
