Re: Syncing up a TR 707
I have done this and like I said, I have it receiving Midi notes fine. It just won't trigger the sequencer.

Delay/Latency problem when sending to returns
Yo yo yo, When I send audio to a return track within Ableton the return signal is delayed slightly. How can this be when it is all within Ableton without using external gear? I thought the signal going to the return and then the master should be hitting at the same time as the audio channel that is ...

Syncing up a TR 707
Hey chaps,
I'm having problems getting Ableton to trigger the start/stop of my Tr 707 drummachine.
I have got it working with Midi and can play the drum sounds from Ableton but I want it so Ableton triggers the 707 to play its own patterns.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Re: Can anyone explain this strange feedback loop?
I think it's some kind of bug in the plug I'm using as it stops when I switch it off.
Doesn't always happen though which is strange.

Can anyone explain this strange feedback loop?
I'm experiencing an unaccounted for feedback loop that I can't source and was wondering if anybody else has ever come across the same? The volume in my Return B starts to rise and continues to rise until it's too loud even though it is only directed to the Master channel. When I switch off the rever...

Looking for some sources of world music.
Would love to get hold of some CD's,WAV's or good quality MP3's of world music stuff especially in the direction of African music for inspiration and some drum sampling.
Does anybody have any tips as to where I can begin searching for material?
Thanks.

Re: How does Dr Dre find his samples?
I'm not sure how he digs up the samples. With G-Funk the samples are often made on the spot or old samples replayed by live musicians. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G_funk Yes but G Funk ain't Dr Dre. Dr Dre does also recreate samples using live musicians but my point is, how does Dr Dre discover al...

How does Dr Dre find his samples?
I'm a fan of break spotting and was wondering how people such as Dr Dre, renowned for his sampling of some oldtime obscure numbers, actually find their samples.
I can't picture Dr Dre rummaging around in the crates of his local charity shop for the 'next hit'.

also try looping vague orchestral sounds with sustain, then tune and make lush pads with reverb.
This sounds interesting. Could you please provide more detail? Thanks.
