Making the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water pedal in Ableton

Hi! Just wanted to share this video I made, in which I recreate one of my favorite FX pedals, the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water, using plugins. https://youtu.be/4k_7bN24nfo It mostly worked out but it could use a bit of tweaking. I think something like this would help, a LFO that could be evenly...

Soloing tracks routed through outboard gear

Question about routing in ableton using UA gear: I have an Apollo x8 and a Twin. I have my tracks in Ableton routed out to an 8 channel summing mixer. The mixer output then goes back into the x8 on inputs 1 and 2. Then I want to send that signal out of the Twin outputs 3-4 to an outboard stereo bus ...

CPU Spikes... why??

WHY on earth does my CPU constantly spike to the point where I have to wait for it to go back down? and then it just happens again. I tried using no gr...

Managing CPU / Processor Threads

So I am learning that when you group tracks together or send audio from one track to another (bussing) Ableton will process that whole group or chain together as one thread, eating up a lot of CPU space. How do you deal with this? Ableton is my favorite DAW but this honestly makes it almost impossib...

Looking for help re: dealing with streaming services loudness algorithms.

I mixed and mastered a track for a friend of mine and we were both happy with the result. However the end of the song gets pretty loud and I should have done more research beforehand and when the track went up on spotify I found that it was approx 4 db lower than the original wav file. I have a two ...
