I lived in both. Perth is like a big, clean country town that's hot and sunny. Melbourne is bad in winter but with more business and culture going on.

Funny how the webshop informs me I can save $743 by upgrading to Suite 8 when Suite 8 is only $699! Convenient oversight? Dishonest marketing? Either way I'll stick with Live 6. Whining bitch and proud of it so anyone with the STFU routine can STFU.

If Live 9 looks good, I'll upgrade to Live 8 just before 9 is released and therefore qualify for free upgrade, saving money (it will make 7 to 9 the same cost as 7 to 8...) Sorry but I think that only works for new users or lite upgrades. Your point is good though. IMO the basic upgrade is overpric...

I love my Ultralite, but you have to understand that low latency @ high sample rates comes at a steep CPU cost, no matter which interface you get. I was getting 3ms at 44kHz with ESI Julia (half that at higher sample rates). It was stable and with low CPU. The sound quality was not good enough for ...

Live should start supporting MIDI effects (MFX). It's part of the VST standard.

Or one better, support for MIDI FX.

There'd be a lot of programming involved and I don't imagine many Live users would want this.

This is discussion not bug reports so what is wrong with this thread? If the release version has the same performance hit I won't be upgrading.

I caught Tommy Emmanuel on the Guitar Show once. He blends 3 mics and 2 pickups through compressors, so you can go overboard with this stuff. You can get a clean sound with one mic aimed between the neck joint and soundhole.

When zoomed in too far to see loop brace ends you can still crop them in by going to the edge of the window.
