I love ableton but always thought that as a DAW it's a bit fiddly. Live it's great, fantastic if you're a DJ and wonderful for doing loop dance stuff - but if you need to record a real band and mix it, well there's a bunch of stuff that Live never was quite able to do, like easily group tracks ...

The "Racks" are great. I love them, I really do, and I use them constantly.

However, in Ableton Live the Green Dot X-Y Pad, shown for every instrument/effect in the chain view, is my favorite thing of all. Ableton, I just adore that Green Dot pad and I use it to do all of my effect automation.

The greatest feature I'd like to see is multiple sound card support.
I'd like to be able to use my Guitar Rig 2 Controller with a multi output sound card in the same session in Ableton Live.

Many of us use Sampler for doing "found-sound" sampling, where a different sound resides in each keyzone. Thus, it would be extraordinarily helpful if Sampler provided per-keyzone settings for sound sculpting parameters.
