most synth vst have an arpegiator some have a sequencer
sequencer look at nerve for drums or tb909
theres too many vst that do the same or similar
bpm rate is shown top left in live not sure what rate bpm means im a newb still learning myself if im sampling say an mp3 vdj tells me ...

Thats because Ableton uses Hardware ID if you changed your Mobo the Hardware id Autherization on your Hard drive is set to your old motherboard your best bet would be backup all your goodlies do a fresh windows install then when you re authorize ableton it will set to your new hardware if it doesnt ...

When you open a vst or pluggin you see the GUI graphical user interface behind that in the bottom left on ableton GUI you will see a box with the same controls as the vst gui.
