soniccouture would be my choice.
Puremagnetik make awesome library's but they tend to lean more on sounddesign and electronice. Not recreating as realistic as possible.
69 bucks is a steal imho
Native instruments also has an electric piano library (runnable in free kontakt player).

Re: What Nord patch is this, and how do I recreate it in Live?
Not a Rhodes.
It's a Wurlitzer
Vibrato is key here.
Electric is for recreating that in live, (although it's far from a Nord Electro, which is still a tiny bit from a real Wurli ... (I own both

Re: For production, why is Logic better than Ableton?
Aight, trying to prevent this getting old. Why I use both , and use Logic as a main DAW: - 64 bit - (with 16gig of ram I can load up a trillian Bass sample, program a drumtrack with superior drummer, load up an omnisphere synth, and play Kontakt 4 running Alicia's keys without rendering anything inb...

Re: 13 or 15-inch Macbook Pro?
Did anyone yet think of turning up the latency?
(you might not need less than 20ms delay....)
If it's a case of twisting knobs... set it to 512.
You'll have a slower response, but the laptop might not die on you this time...

Re: How to create an underwater effect?
aha! That's the part where sounddesign comes into place. Many ways to go in this case. Record player playing underwater, rolling of highs (and/or boosting lows) is a good start. Personally I would layer a sound over that creating the water bubble effect/ambiance. And here is where the fun starts. Gr...

Re: Plouge Chipsounds anyone?
Hell yes I've been using this! With this I could behave like a chiptune snob without having to mod snes-es and Gameboys :) Seriously, YMCK is very very very good, but it takes more work and knowledge to make it work for you. Plogues presets are the best! And for 50 euro's this was a no brainer for m...

Re: Pro Tools 9 or Logic Pro?
I worked with both. For my personal (pre)production use, I mainly use Logic. Why? Because I tend to run large sample libraries, and numerous midi- instruments in a project. Midi-wise Logic eats PT's babies. (not sure about PT9 though) On the other hand; when doing audio editing it's the exact opposi...
