Re: How to Shutup Live 11 Plugin Startup Scan?
who thought this was a good idea to forcefully scan plugins every single time Live starts without giving user an option to opt out of this messy start tbh this makes live look weak when you just want to open a light session to show someone, and this scan just interupts not only audio, but also displ...

Re: Performance bottlenecks in behemoth projects (M1 Max vs Ultra)
turns out that for either mac or pc, the answers lie with JUCE and ABLETON... and which one to blame, which one is not moving an inch to solve these excruciating issues when it comes to large sets.

Re: ableton stops responding to keyboard and mouse
nah it's not UAD nor is it Baby Audio, Korneff, Exite Audio, Kazrog, and a ton of other plugins that are using badly done UI rendering pipeline towards the gpu, bottlenecking the entire session. It's actually Live! Live's rendering pipeline needs to be rewritten from the ground up as it is *the wors...

Re: Will Windows ever get the same UI performance as Mac?
Hey Folks, I use Live 11.2 on both my Mac & PC. Since the amazing new metal API update for Live 11.2 on Mac, the UI rendering performance is now much smoother (even on large, complex projects) compared to how it is on the Windows system. Are there any tweaks I can do on my Windows system to get...

Re: question for someone @ ableton DEV TEAM
BUMP It's getting very frustrating for a lot of PC users to have sets barelly hit 25% of the cpu (that's LIVE's cpu meter! which means 10% actual cpu usage on windows), have other fabfilter plugins running like butter, and have ableton's UI display 3 frames a second because of bad implementation of ...

Re: question for someone @ ableton DEV TEAM
Many people at Ableton read the forums daily, but no they don't respond here anymore with timelines and what people can expect from future releases. They tried that in the past, but sadly too many people here were complete asshats to them, so now you just have to wait and see. Improving graphics pe...

Re: question for someone @ ableton DEV TEAM
Yeah it's a known fact Live uses the GPU for UI on PC & MAC since 10. A lesser known fact is that on PC, it's been a mess. And it's been a mess as well on MAC, but to a much lesser extent. Yet still, UI lags were reported on both platforms. Until 11.2 completelly fixed it for MAC users! so when ...

Re: question for someone @ ableton DEV TEAM
Plugin devs and JUCE can contact Ableton themselves just fine, if they feel it needs to be addressed on the host side. They can explain things much better directly, they don't need to use random user posts in a forum they probably don't even read. Thank you, super helpfull and definitly not fanboyi...

question for someone @ ableton DEV TEAM
can anybody from ABLETON DEV TEAM indicate if we'll see the same UI fixes on PC that the MAC crowd now enjoys on 11.2?
can this be done AT ALL on PC?
can this be done with the current state of things on WINDOWS, JUCE, and all these things that have to play well together?

Re: it used to be possible to determine which plugin is crashing Live while loading a set
Do you have an example of what you are talking about specifically? User launches L11.6 User starts loading a project Live crashes and create a bunch of documents to send to the devs (crash dumps) that are unreadable by user User is fucked cause he can't figure out by himself the culprit plugin that...

it used to be possible to determine which plugin is crashing Live while loading a set
reading the info in the log
it seems that it has changed!
why?
is there a way to decode the crash "dumps" now that the info is not avail. anymore in the Log.txt file (on pc)

room/headphone correction plugins and Live's broswer...
with the pletora of now common plugins such as VSX, Sonarworks, ARC, Vienna, Realphones, Waves NX and a dozen other... when can we expect
the logical next step of being able to either
1) route Live's audio browser to the master channel
2) put plugins on the browser / cue channel
