thanks so much that solved the problem!!!! For some reason I thought asio wasn't the right driver. I guess cause MOTU asio didnt pop up when I selected it.

I just got Ableton Live 6 and I'm having trouble recording.

I'm using a Motu Ultralite soundcard and I have it hooked up properly, when I record in Audacity and other programs the playback is fine.

When I arm an audio track in Ableton and record though, it sounds very choppy almost like a CD ...
