I also opened a support-ticket and corresponding with them. I reinstalled my Mac, only installed Ableton and got more cpu-usage, artifacts and so on as before. I used the "demo song" from them and recorded a video... now I wait... hopefully I will read a bit faster from them :) if the prob...

You can already record automation with the Variations, it will simply record the Macro knob changes. Which shows why you can't automate the Variations separately, it would obviously conflict with recorded automation for any of the Macro knobs. yes... i payed a lot of money for this "upgrade", but cant use ableton anymore after upgrade to 11... the macro-variations where THE reason for my upgrade. But: cant use it, because no automation of that "feature" (cant believe it... why in hell i need this... no benefit... want ...

i think it will not be possible to make ableton worse than it is right now... i only can use 4 tracks... but for maybe 1 minute. after that its full of artefacts... not possible to work with. yes. i try other DAWs at this moments. it is hard, becaus i dont want to change, but with THIS current versi...

good question. without automation function i think it has no benefit. maybe we will see it in an other release.

hi, maybe something wrong with the cache? you cleaned it up already? (Preferences -> File Folder -> "Decoding Cache" => "Cleanup") Or did you change something in the preferences? or sourced out the Ableton-Folder to the iCloud? or did you start with a new (overloaded) template?

for better understanding: you mean incoming audio (microphone), or outgoing audio (speakers/headphone)?

what ever. the opposite sound (in or out) is working without any problems?
