im so stupid guys. all i had to do was delete preferences and its magically back. sorry for the dumb post

I'm really stuck at this point. I'll try to explain this as best I can. I have been using ableton for a long long time, and only just this week, whenever I add anything, a drum rack, the simpler, etc, it does not have the record button in session view.
