i got a track out of this in 24hrs, which i'm getting to play out at my gigs. it was a really cool process and a challenge which also got me composing a lil differently to get a track together a whole lot faster. i would normally listen to a whole bunch of samples, find that sweet break, then build...

we're allowed to sample any of the sounds in sampler and change the melodies right? Just making sure or else everything ive done till now is F**ked Awesome sample pack, this is a blast. there are some cool remixes out there that probably will go unnoticed for all the reasons mentioned, which is kind of a flaw in the competition setup. it is really cool to hear how creative some ideas can be, with the same content. i've found bunches of trawling comments on my entry, which i notice...

in these clips i'm using a macbook with an NI audio8 DJ soundcard (it has phono pre's which also work for ms pinky) on the ms pinky vst channel in live, i set the inputs to receive from the relative soundcard inputs from the turntable, in this case i'm using input 1 and 2. i route my outs to 3 and 4...

Maybe this could also be in the "post your setup..." thread but these are not photos. I made this track and video'd the parts at the same time. In a way you get to see my studio, hear me and see me at the same time. This was my first experiment. I hope to do more of this in the future. hop...

sweetwater has traktor scratch pro for $299.
crazy price drops.
i was mainly interested in the audio 8dj soundcard, which was originally priced at $449,
but to get the whole system for $335, insane.
suppose it's just lucky timing.
