Re: recording Live, Live
maybe I'm missing something here, but why don't you just use two tracks? One track would have your loop in it, and the other would have the same settings but be free for you to record whatever you want into it yes i suppose that is the way to do it, but then you need two instances of each V.I. whic...

Re: Multi-channel live looping
Another issue you might have is that you can only see one Looper plugin at any given time. Sharing a computer can get annoying if you end up needing to do any editing. But if you're simply playing well-rehearsed material, this shouldn't be an issue. Also consider that if you decide to use Live, you ...

Re: Using Ableton Before Amp in Guitar Signal Chain?
Use an amp-sim stomp box (e.g. Tech 21 stuff) and then use Live's effects. Send to headphone/mix out. I've tried a bunch of combinations, and when I'm not in a position to mic my amp first and then go into Live, this is what I default to. Although, in my case, I tend to have quite a few guitar track...

Re: Live 9 Performance Test
1) Ableton Live CPU Meter 11% (drop set into Live) / 22% (open set within Live) *** Here is something really strange with my PC. If I open Live, drop the set in and play it, the CPU hits 11% max. If I open Live, open the set using the browser and play it, the CPU is at 22% . I can repeat this behav...

Re: help! the voltage differences between NA and EU
Ok, thanks for the info! I'll look into this. Is there a wattage range that is realistic? If I go for a big number, am I taking some kind of risk?Guff Tong wrote:You need a 'Step Down Voltage Converter'
I'd recommend KRK or Genelec brand...

help! the voltage differences between NA and EU
Hi all, I'll be travelling to France this week from Canada and was wondering if anyone can advise me on using my 110~120V devices in Europe's 220~240V outlets. It seems that I should buy some sort of voltage converter, but I'm not sure which ones are best, or what I should be looking for in terms of...

Canadian gigging in France, questions re: voltage and power
Hello, Well, like the topic says, I'm Canadian and I'll be in France for a week or so, and I am bringing some gear. Most of the gear that I'm bringing is rated for North American power only, that is 110~120V. I know that in Europe the voltage is at 220~240V. This sounds like a problem. Naturally, I'...

I think we need to hit the ground running, keep our eye on the ball, and make sure that we are singing off the same song sheet. At the end of the day it is not a level playing field and the goal posts may move; if they do, someone else may have to pick it up and run with it. We therefore must have ...

Loops recorded into Arrange are offset
hi, this is our recording scenario: macBookPro 1.83 GHz 2GB RAM; external FW400 drive, Motu Ultralite and 896 as aggregate device, Live 6.07, OSX 10.4.8. 21 armed tracks recording various things, 9 of them are tracks that we use to record guitar and bass loops on the fly. the guitar loop tracks are ...

i've thought about using LIVE for looping but it needs too much peripheral stuff (extra foot controllers/interface/nervous about latency etc. i've been using an akai Headrush E2 for a few years, it works perfectly for me, a large part of the music i play is based on live looping, if i can find a si...

No sign of djadonis in this thread. surprise, surprise. another ill-conceived statement he's failed to follow up with an elaboration. who jumps into a fire knowingly? i mean... with this statement i just quoted it's clear that you simply don't like him for whatever reason. i don't see how his invol...
