Re: Akai Midimix no longer working as Control Surface
yep it has to be set to its default midi values. The MidiMix editor automatically launches the factory default when opening a "new" mapping, so you just load that on.

Akai Midimix no longer working as Control Surface
I have 2 MidiMix's, and neither are working as a control surfaces in Live. I am receiving midi from the units, and I'm able to midi map parameters. But no dice as a control surface. I have them setup in Live preferences properly via the manual in the Link/tempo/midi settings. I have an AKA MpcMini M...

Record automation in Session view without audio or which is longer than clip length?
Hello! I'm trying to record automation in Sessions View which is longer/independent of the length of a clip of recorded audio. For example I often record loops which are 1 bar long, but then would like to additionally record automation to FX parameters etc which process that 1bar loop that is 8 bars...

Looper Quantization issues
I was having an issue where controlling the Looper effect with my midi controller would often lead to loops of unintentionally long or short lenghths. I turned off "delay compensation" and that seems to have fixed things as now my button presses always line up with the beat. With delay com...

Delete Clip in Session View via Midi Controller?
I'm trying to use the clips in the session view for live looping purposes and wondering if there is a way to map a "clear" command to a clip slot so I can delete the clip in order to record a new one?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Send current parameter state to midi controller?
Is there a way I can send the current state of live's parameters to my midi controller (touch OSC on an iPad) so that on startup I can get Touch OSC to reflect what's going on in Live?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Automate parameter over time?
Is there a M4L device which does the following:
- I press a button on my midi controller
- For X amount of bars (or time in seconds… less desirable) a parameter of a Live device moves from one value to another
?
Thanks!

Midi "catch" mode?
Is there a way to setup midi mapping with external controllers in Live such that values only change once the midi controller "catches up" to the current value of the mapped parameter in Live? Thanks...

Workaround to map two controls to one parameter?
I’m currently using a M4L device to to modulate the decay of a hi hat macro control in a drum rack. But I also want to be able to turn off/down the M4L device and adjust the decay manually, and/or as an offset. I’m doing this all with a midi controller so can’t unmap the M4L device. In Live a contro...

Automatically enable External Sync on project start?
I am an extremely lazy man, and find having to click on "EXT" every time I open my project painful and uninspiring
is there a way to setup live so it automatically syncs to external clock so I can get on with my life?
many thanks.

Play midi note and midi map simultaneously
Hello!
I'm trying to use a button on my Akai Midi Mix MIDI controller to both send it's midi note to a channel, and map this same midi note to a track parameter (Activator). It will only let me do one or the other. Is this possible?
