Re: Audio output with USB soundcard 24-bit DAC : who convert audio stream 32 to 24 bit ?

Thanks, i'm not worry but 32-bit to 24-bit operation is not neutral.
Ableton can't just send the 32-bit internal audio stream to the soundcard if the bit depth is not the same. A 24-bit DAC only accept 24 bit.
Does Ableton use a dither algorythm to go down to 24 bit before the soundcard driver or ...

Audio output with USB soundcard 24-bit DAC : who convert audio stream 32 to 24 bit ?

Hello,

Ableton internal processing depth is 32- bit.
But my audio output is with a 24-bit only USB soundcard DAC and an ASIO driver.

Do you know what happens then ?
Does Ableton proceed to an audio treatment (32 bit to 24 bit) before to send the 32 bit digital audio stream to ASIO driver ?
I see ...

cc 64 (sustain/hold) on stock live instruments ?

hello ableton users and experts,

Do you know if all ableton live stock instruments are made to react by default to the cc 64 midi control change for sustain (note hold) ?
And specially for operator, analog or drift : how to hold notes with cc 64 midi control change ?

I regret that ableton don't ...

audio sample unmix or separation feature ?

Hi guys,

I love ableton, i use and want to use only ableton live but one thing is missing : process any sample or audio recording and isolate drum, bass, melodic, or vocal element because that's impossible in ableton.
So I have to use spectral layer from steinberg to unmix wav files, but i would ...

Re: Upgrade from Suite to Standard edition : are we keeping packs and instruments ?

When Live 12 was released, I upgraded my old 10 Suite to 12 Standard, so I can confirm that the extra packs and instruments you get with Suite come with their own separate licenses, and YES, these licenses are carried over to your new Standard license. You can check which licenses you already have ...

Re: Upgrade from Suite to Standard edition : are we keeping packs and instruments ?

Thanks for your answers, and finally the right question is: Will packs or instruments purchased together in a Suite edition be treated as separate purchases ?
This would mean that they could still be downloaded and used in higher versions of Live in the Standard edition.

Upgrade from Suite to Standard edition : are we keeping packs and instruments ?

Hello, I'm the owner of live 12 Suite edition, and I'd like to know what will happen the day I upgrade to the higher version (13) in STANDARD edition. Will I still be able to use the instruments, effects and packs that were installed for live 12 in the SUITE edition ?

Re: A way to switch slowly and automaticaly a rack from setting 1 to setting 2 ?

There is a way without max for live :
Use a dummy clip with clip enveloppe to control the macro command of an instument rack !
With the macro command set min, max volume for instrument 1, invert max,min volume for instrument 2.
When you move the macro command you morph between instrument 1 and 2 ...

A way to switch slowly and automaticaly a rack from setting 1 to setting 2 ?

Hi,

I want to switch slowly and automaticaly between tow settings for an instrument rack.
A kind of auto-morphing between two settings parameters.
Example : Move slowly, automaticaly and simultanously each instrument in a rack from their actual volume to an other volume which is different for each ...

In Analog what is % for pitch envelope TIME

Hi,

In Analog instrument, in Oscillators Pitch envelope section, there is a % for the Time.
This % is a percentage of which real duration ? What does Time at 100% means ? How many seconds ?
Thanks for your help !
