Does anyone know if something like the "Behringer X-Touch Compact Universal Control Surface" would work with the P3S?

If so, how to configure? Would I set it up with software version, and then save the file to the P3?

Wait, you got it working in Standalone? Mine only works if I manually map it in Live and transfer the set to Standalone.

The Faderfox device templates need to be added to the Live application folders so I didn’t think it was possible to use the EC4 natively without going ...

You could try to put the midi remote scripts to the following folder:
/data/.config/Ableton/Live <current version>/User Remote Scripts

I've managed to copy over the custom midi remote script (Faderfox_Universal) for my Faderfox EC4.
looks like the location is
/opt/push3/products/live/Live/AppLive/Python/remote-scripts/

That's fine, but it's not working out of the box.

I had trouble accessing the disk in Linux when the cloned drive was large (4TB), not sure why, I'm not really pro Linux user.
However the 1TB drive worked just fine.
It should be pretty standard EXT4 filesystem, so it should work with Ubuntu.
Maybe someone more fluent in Linux will shed some ...

Well it works just fine with adat or internal in/outs.
The only hiccup is you have to set up the routing in a computer before going standalone. And you can’t change the routing after.
Other option would be to route it via audio tracks, not the external effects device, so:
Audio track 1 sends audio ...

Currently P3S doesn’t have the routing option for external effect device. Only option is to set it up on a computer and move the project over to Standalone.

I ran a few tests on my sequencers using MLA

And P3 doesn't look to be very stable as a midi clock generator in comparison:
