Could someone please give an accurate explanation of what routing scenarios cause Live to disable track delay and why?

In my case it seems to be a Return track that's the culprit. I saw someone mention that it has to do with feedback loops, but I'd like to understand why exactly Live won't allow ...

possible solution for anyone else running into this problem:

check to make sure that all your plugins are the same versions , same point release, etc.
I finally traced it down to a single plugin in my case that caused the shutdown. Once I updated to the same version, it opened fine.
Just too bad ...

Just experienced the same problem when I transfer a file from my laptop-install to my desktop DAW (both PCs). Both installs are updated to 6.0.10.

Live will just close before it even pulled up the project.
Don't know yet if this is consistent.

I believe that the "pickup" mode (Preferences-->Midi Sync-->Take-Over Mode) does not work with the Transpose control in the clip sample display.

In practice this unfortunately did not work on clip-parameters. I still get value jumps in each mode ("none"/"pickup"/"value scaling").

I'm trying to find out if I can assign a MIDI controller (or key-stroke for that matter) to Sample Display parameters (e.g. "transpose") for a clip that is yet to be recorded .

The problem is that the clip-view parameters don't show up until a clip has been recorded.

Is there any way to setup ...
