Re: CPU Recommendations? Single Core vs Multi Core Speed
So I've just found out that if I side-chain across 2 tracks, they will run on a single thread. So this would explain it to some extent, but I don't use side-chaining on everything. Also I make use of quite complex parallel effects chains on some of my tracks, but then on others there might literally ...

CPU Recommendations? Single Core vs Multi Core Speed
Hi!
I've always wondered why Ableton Live does not fully utilise all of the cores of my CPU. I've run various Live versions across various machines, and they all exhibit the same issue. I have over the years checked up on forums and have seen a whole variety of explanations and reasons.
Most ...

Re: CPU overload on live 12
Are you experiencing a CPU overload only in Live? Or is your whole system struggling at this point?
Is your operating system or any of the apps updating themselves in the background at a certain time of day?
You could check to see what other processes are running at the time when you're experiencing ...

Re: Push 3 Velocity Spikes on the Bottom Row
For the sake of keeping this thread active, here is an update.
So my last interactions with Ableton Support were basically them reaffirming that it is a known issue and there is work being done to correct the bug in the firmware.
Since this time I have been using the Push 3 extensively and have ...

Re: Push 3 Velocity Spikes on the Bottom Row
So after even more back and forth with support, they are adamant that it is a software issue and not a hardware issue. They tell me that this is still a known issue and that they are still working on fixing it. They also told me that replacing the push will have no difference on the experience, that ...

Re: Push 3 Velocity Spikes on the Bottom Row
Since the latest beta update the spikes are fairly small (≅ ±20%), but very noticeable, especially since I set most of my instruments to a very high dynamic range.
It's interesting to note that the first one (which was replaced under warranty) and the second one (the replacement) both have exactly ...

Re: Push 3 Velocity Spikes on the Bottom Row
Ok my bad, when I look in the Push3.log file it shows that the firmware version is in fact 11.3.20b7, firmware package version 1.4.0.

Re: Push 3 Velocity Spikes on the Bottom Row
I should have mentioned that I have the controller version, not standalone. The only way I can update the firmware is by downloading the beta version of Live (currently 11.3.20b7). I've been assured that the latest firmware is packaged with it, but after allowing Live to update Push, checking in the ...

Push 3 Velocity Spikes on the Bottom Row
Hi Everyone,
I recently bought a Push 3, immediately upon playing it I noticed velocity spikes on the bottom row while playing drums. I investigated further with MIDI Monitor and Expression Control and sure enough I was getting a very high occurrence of velocity spikes. I contacted support and ...
