I am interested in using Live with a midi controller but was wondering how easy it was to program different parameters to the knobs and sliders. Is it possible to use a controller with all the different audio units and switch from one to another? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I was considering purchasing the an Akai mpd-16 but can really find much documentation on it. Could anyone please tell me it's advantages over using a keyboard to make beats. Feedback greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

One more question about Live that I would really appreciate if someone could answer. Can use switch different effects on and off for different real instruments inputs instantly? For example turning different effects on and off serperately for a vocal and a guitar in a live environment. Thanks!

Thanks for the taking you time to answer my questions! Much appreciated! So even though Live offers support for midi and real instruments you can not use effects on real instruments from Reason when you incorporate the two because it only is for midi to begin with? Thanks again!
