I did, and they told me to delete the file.

Had this happen on a simple re-edit I'd done on a released track. All the warp markers were off by 1 step. Correcting the start point seemed to fix, but what I was getting was exactly like the OP - beats were off grid for no reason.

I didn't check if it was a Live 11 vs Live 12 thing as the ...

also noticed now, that in 12, if you zoom out a little bit of where the shifting happens. all the sudden it shifts back in place. ?????????????????

but the music is still way off....

This begs the question, could you hear a difference in the timing? It's possible this is a graphics bug ...

Well, they seem to have given up on my tickets.

it's still happening, and the funny thing is , that part that gets clipped. is put somewhere on the track far far after that.
When you zoom in, you see pieces of each song on a track.. at least for me.

I have a AB 12 Project with 87 tracks which was opening fine within 2 seconds.
no complaints there.

now, I added on each track EQ's and Reverb.
and now it takes about 2 minutes to load, and it always times out, and getting empty projects, and all the sudden it get's all filled in.

I know in AB 11 ...

is this the only part that is new in 12.01 ?

Is it possible to lock like the 1st Audio track as a guidance in Ableton . (like an Excel sheet for the 1st row Freeze)
If I want to compare track 20 or 40 to the 1st track for the beats etc. i would like to see that on my screen, but since scroll, the tracks are moving up
is there a way to freeze ...

I just tried it the same file, but then in WAV format, and it's doing the same thing.


so, i tried this... renamed the ASD file.
and let it rebuilt, and that seemed to resolved the shifting when i zoom in and out.
BUT.. it does show all the marker on the wrong places now. and the song is still off ...

but why does it work fine in 11 then with mp3.

could be a bug in that part.. idk.. guess i'll have to wait on Support.. for now, i'll stick with 11.


Also... I just noticed.. if I zoom in in the Wave at the bottom to put markers down, it will shift too.. once you zoom in deeper..
so the markers ...

I am using windows 11. Icore 9 64 Gb Ram

Feel free to see it for yourself.. that's where you see the shifting when zoom in and out. and the beat is off.

I don’t know if this has any influence on the results, but it appears you are using mp3 files. If I’m not mistaken ( things have changed over the past few years ), Live has to render the mp3 files into a non-compressed format. There might be some strange behavior shifting everything when it is ...

no, everything is default.

but would that also change the fact that it would load differently ?

thought latency was more for the playback on the device for the sound.. not visually or am i wrong ?
