With Novation's help, I was able to resolve the problem. The key to diagnosing it was that in the Link, Tempo & MIDI settings, the input and output ports for the keyboard show as "Novation MK2 --". It wasn't reporting how many keys it has (49). I followed the steps in this article to r...

It is selected as a control surface. That's why the other buttons on the keyboard are mapped by Ableton automatically. I just don't know why the track faders are no longer mapped. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the way the Launchkey is represented in Mac's MIDI Studio. I think that's w...

Launchkey MK2 faders aren't mapped to track volumes

My Launchkey 49 MK2 was working fine with Ableton Live (Mac, Sonoma 14.4) until I decided to reset it, hoping that it would fix my mod wheel that doesn't go to 0.
