Ok so i deleted the pref file and now only selected VST3 and AU3 plugins, that seems to have fixed the performance issue.
Probably there are some vst2 plugins that are massively slowing down live

Yep tried that, cleaned up my places too to avoid it was indexing many folders but no luck so far. Which os u running? Im about to see if upgrading to sonoma helps, but afraid of compatability issues with uad

Bad performance Live 12
Hey,
I just upgraded to live 12 and performance has been really bad.
Just loading a plugin to the chain causes a beachball to show up.
Im running Monterey on an M1Pro so should be plenty for ableton.
Could the problem be OS related? Better performance on Sonoma?
Anyone else have this problem?
