I'm bumping this thread, because I am having the same issue. The problem is, in Ableton Simpler if you play a sample that's a one shot or in Classic mode with a polyphony of 1, and retrigger the sample before it ends (Choked), the first note isn't being snapped to zero. I have recently switched from FL Studio and have really noticed a difference in sound with MIDI drums.

I have been having issue with my MIDI drums since changing to Ableton from FL Studio. For what its worth, I think Ableton is a superior DAW in every way, but I do have issues with Simpler/Sampler drums.
