[4945] Collision seems to take up surprising amount of cpu

Create a new set, drag "Collision -> Mallets -> Mallets-Basic Vibes" into a MIDI track, play a few chords. On my 4-core 3GHz machine, cpu rapidly goes up to 25% and stays there, which is the limit for a single core. However, when I call up the system performance meter, it shows more like 8...

Price went up, I see -- a few weeks ago it was $799. This is a controller specifically designed for Ableton Live. So is the Akai APC40, for less than half the price. I am having trouble understanding who would want to buy the Vestax at that price. Yes I understand it has dedicated EQ knobs per chann...

My understanding (in the USA) is that works are born copyrighted, and you do not have to do anything special to protect them. However, if you do want to be able to enforce your rights, you have to register the work with the Library of Congress before you can go to court. You do not have to have regi...

The fact that the cartoon appeared just after this article should make the cartoon's motive crystal clear.

Check out the various comments here and elsewhere about the Jazzmutant Lemur, which is exactly what you're talking about.

I think I'd buy it as a Live instrument even though I already own it separately. Assuming, of course, that its user interface were as well integrated as the rest of the AAS instruments.

It's real simple: Never say anything online that you wouldn't want your boss, your significant other, or the government reading. Because in practice you have no way of stopping it. (And googling myself is entertaining because there are three moderately well-known people who share my name: Me, a stan...

Re: a MAX patch FOR LIVE (and Lemur)

Will it?[/quote] He's talking about Max for Live, and yes, it will. And I should add that I've been looking at the patch and the Jazz Editor file while I'm waiting for my Lemur and I'm drooling.
