Another workaround that might suit your workflow is: go to Preferences > Record, Warp and Launch and turn on "Start recording on scene launch".
You can then Arm both the midi and audio tracks at the same time (holding cmd/ctrl to select both) and hit the scene launch button on the right hand side ...
