What's common in these vocals is (you could apply effects in this order, it should give a nice basis):
- quite limited frequency range, i.e no lows and not much very high highs. Use an EQ to do this
- very compressed, use a compressor
- overdriven. Live has many distortion devices, but maybe start ...

I have recorded my voice for a garage rock/punk song like The White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes (my fav when it comes to vocals) and other.
However, I don't know how to mix the vocals.
