MIDI clip editing via keyboard confusion... bug?
Anyone else notice that MIDI editing via computer keyboard works differently in Clip and Arrange views? For example, try selecting some notes in a MIDI clip in Arrange view. Press the left/right/up/down keys on your keyboard. The notes stay selected. Now try doing the same in Clip view. Notes desele...

Re: Drum pads that can change octaves? (for drum racks)
Most pad controllers should have a banking function that allows the pads to send different note number per bank. If you controller doesn't have this feature, you can do a workaround using Live's Pitch midi effect. 1. Create a midi channel and set it to receive midi input from your pad controller. Se...

It's 2015... any luck with Live on touchscreens?
Anyone have any luck running Live on touchscreens? My RSI's really starting to kill my hands. I've done what I can assigning key and mouse macros in ControllerMate, plus designing Lemur templates for most used plug-ins. I'm also alternating between every input device under the sun - trackball, pen t...

Re: Launchpad95: Instrument, Scales, Step Sequencer, Device Ctrl
Doesn't appear to be working in latest Live 9.1.4 (64bit, Windows). Any updates? This looks like a terrific tool and eager to try. Thanks for making this available to the community! I should clarify - after placing Launchpad95 inside the MIDI Remote Scripts folder, Launchpad95 is not visible in Liv...

Re: 8 or 16 GB RAM for Live 9 Suite?
If you plan on working with lots of sample-based instruments, like Kontakt, I would recommend going with 16gb. If you are mostly using softsynths, then 8gb should be fine for you. I have 8gb in my iMac and machine definitely starts to chug on large sessions. I'm using loads of Kontakt instruments. U...

Clearly removing the M4L path from 8.4.1 is "on purpose".

Re: Live 8 x64 and M4L - what's the deal?
I understand, but the fact that Ableton has intentionally removed the M4L path from Options in 8.4.1 is fishy... I was able to run Max 6 perfectly fine in Live 8 32-bit (minus a few hiccups), even though Max 6 wasn't "officially" supported. Obviously the 64bit interaction between Live and ...

Live 8 x64 and M4L - what's the deal?
Can someone explain to me why Max For Live functionality appears to have been removed completely from the latest Live 8.4.1 on Mac? I understand for some time M4L was not supported because it was not yet 64-bit, but now that there is a 64-bit Max (which works fine with Live 9) why was this functiona...
