Re: Help needed with recording

I’m not very sure of what you’re explaining... but maybe turning off Warp on the clip would help Sorry about the terrible explanation. If you look at the picture the "Small Mallet bowl" has 2 sine waves while the "Big Mallet Bowl" has 1 sine wave. I don't recall doing anything different between the...

Re: Newbie recording loops problem

It sounds like you are missing the cutoff in step 3. So you’re looping 8 bars instead of 4, for example. The time it takes moving your hand from playing to stopping the recording is taking too long. I use a foot pedal to stop and start... and record arm. https://www.logidy.com/umi3 It could also be ...

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!

Bye bye, and good luck running UA Luna in Windows 7 Of course I know Luna is Mac only... doooooh! If I have to buy a new PC just to run Live 11 I may as well look at all options. The M1 chipset currently kicks intel into touch for speed and power and get a new UA interface... Luna comes free. You n...

Re: Super New to Abelton, need some help.

I’m just guessing but it sounds like you may have auto warp large samples turned on. Turn that off in Preferences

There’s more about it here:

Re: Plug-In problem

A little late of a reply... I was searching for info on Arturia Keylab Essential for a potential purchase and stumbled on your post.

Any chance you installed Live 32 bit on your laptop? If you did, it might explain your pluggins not showing up.

Just a guess. Hope you got it sorted or that this helps

Personally I only use 'save as' and change from v-1.1 to v-1.2, v-1.3 and so on while I always continue working on the just saved version.
this works best, imho.

post is still old as dirt though

Re: Sentimental Squirrels - rough draft

Can and will do... Might not be today tho. It's on my iMac which is behind a 32 inch monitor and off the interwebz at the moment. Got a new job. Working from home. So, my workspace is covered in Windows crap, a router, and a physical firewall. If you still have my number, shoot me a text and we'll w...

Re: How do bedroom producers set up your mics for music and audio production?

Yeah, I hear you on G.A.S. That pre-amp was my last purchase and it was years ago... but I wanted to end the Taco Bell parking lot recordings of background noise between lyrics. The condenser mic, for all its strengths, wasn’t good for my apartment situation. So finding the gear for the task was com...

Re: Better video card for improved Push 2 performance?

Even though the Push does use the GPU, I cannot imagine it putting very much load on it. If the info in the link provided above does not help... Do you have an HDD or SSD for storage? Windows 10 has become almost unusable on a traditional hard drive. One reason for this is that even the Start menu i...

Re: How do bedroom producers set up your mics for music and audio production?

I have an AT 3035. I solved my gripes with it by replacing it with a Shure SM7B and good pre-amp (Universal Audio 710 Twin-Finity) Probably not the answer you were looking for, but I found that a condenser microphone just pics up too much back ground noise that I have to wrestle with in recordings.....

Re: Upgrade Piano Roll to match FL's for a better User Experience

Having used both FL Studio (a long time ago) and Live, I agree that the piano roll is way better in FLS.

As long as we're asking Ableton to swipe features from Image Line, please go ahead and copy the Swing slider too... it's pretty great

¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯
