Re: Recording live changes to the sampler position

Thanks, not exactly what I was looking for but a decent alternative.

Recording live changes to the sampler position

I'm wondering if there is a way to, if I'm recording with Sampler, to record the changes I make to the sampler point. Like, say I load a really long sample and move it around as I'm playing notes on my keyboard to change which part of the sample I'm playing, is there a way to record those changes? B...

Can anyone recommend an external sound card?

I'd like one to kill the awful feedback noise I get from my computer (headphones aren't usable), and for portability. I'm not really sure what I'm looking for other than that... Something on the cheaper side would be nice.

thanks!

yeah who cares that there's kids in Detroit ripping the stuff off? There's kids everywhere ripping everything off. That's how it goes with anything that's cool to anyone. As if there weren't a thousand people that tried to replicate the Chemical Brothers and failed because they didn't put in real ef...

Let me link you to a better review, then, if we're going to play that game. http://www.amazon.com/Confield-Autechre/dp/B00005BGTS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1198614426&sr=8-1 Read the first review on Amazon, it's a lot more reasonable. Less head-up-the-ass rambling and more hone...

Confield is seriously my favorite album right now, and one of my favorite albums ever. Please stop not liking it. Stop taking meth now, please. It's not good for you. Try and read this if you can stomach the ultimate truth. (Though I think he's being "kind") Oh my god, did you seriously j...

I fail to see how Confield lacks musicianship. Do you like ambient music? Why can't it be treated like that, even? I don't know, maybe I'm a total weirdo, but I don't think Confield is as out there as many make it out to be. Just some truly killer soundscapes, I LOVE the abstract beats and how they...

Well, we can sit here all day and come up with out little theories ("more seal = more pressure = more ear damage", or "lower volume = less damage plain and simple), but I'd like to see something official, especially from those that say that in-ear phones will do more damage. Generally...

but there is no doubt they have done a hell of a lot more for electronic music than anyone on these forums. I'm right there with you. Every album they've done up to - and including - EP7 has been fascinating, creative, genre-breaking/defying/creating and other epithets that probably have to sound l...

Gescom is just their "for fun" side project, it's not supposed to be anything transcendent. It IS really good stuff, I think, though. Don't really see the point of criticizing it, especially in this thread. I personally love basically everything these guys have done, except Untilted, which...
