I've got the same problem.. Is there any other way than making a new user??

EDIT:
Just got a mail from Ableton's support asking me to try this:
- remove the rewire lib from /Library/Application Support/ReWire
- delete the ableton folder from /Users/Library/Application Support/Ableton
- restart Live ...
