chrome is awesome, but sucks for anyone who's using ff for it's web developer support.
no firebug, no "web developer add-on" equivalent, etc.
otherwise, chrome is by far the better of the two browsers. a lack of update pop-ups being among it's flagship "features", ha

I'm assuming both the desktop and laptop are running Windows XP. It'll work just fine. Just make sure that when you plug in the external drive, to assign it a drive letter like Z: or I: or something way down the line from C: or D: drive.
