Since i' having some pretty bad performance issues, I thought i'd run the test as a check and as something to send the abes so they can hel me fix that... for info: 1) Ableton Live CPU Meter 53% - 117% (after having the whole file play back a few times - as you can imagine, i can't really finish any...

Everything is else is shut, no wifi, no other program running, same happens after a fresh rebooting and launching live directly...

my audio buffer is set to the maximum value and that doesn't help either...

8.1.5 is better than 8.1.4 here, but still sends some crazy cpu spikes for no reason. Tracks that were playing fine minutes ago with the cpu at around 40%, suddenly crackle and stop with the cpu meter showing 116% !!! :? damn recorded samples should be in the project files, have you checked there?

I'm actually encountering the exact same issue on several projects. I'm using a macbook 2.4 Ghz running on 10.5.8 and with a MOTU Ultralite MK3 the issue however remains using the built in soundcard too. wouldn't that all work out if you used the legato function for all clips? so that their start position is always relative to a "main" timeline?

would be awesome if live could have some of those automation clip where the automation is very easily readable, maybe where it'd be possible to see ever automation lane as layers...

maybe try and think of tones instead of notes?
