Re: Pickup takeover mode not working (tried everything)
no scripts. it's weird. it works sometimes, but not all the time. If i move a fader mapped to volume on bank A, switch bank B and move the same fader controlling something else, move back to bank A then takeover mode doesn't work and the level jumps. i haven't figured out the pattern, but then somet...

Pickup takeover mode not working (tried everything)
It might be something really stupid but I can't get the pickup mode to work in ableton 9.1.1 using an mpd 32.
Pickup mode is selected in the midi preferences. Value scaling doesn't work either. It seems to work with the continuous knobs, but not with the faders.
Any ideas?

improvising live sets with midi controllers (your systems)
Hey I just wanted to see how people use ableton and midi controllers to improvise with their live sets. Some ways I've thought of improvising are mapping out melodic samples onto pads (i have an mpd32) that i can trigger, fx sends, volume rides, master fader reverbs and filters (not that original i ...

new duet and launchpad
Hey, does anyone out there have the new apogee duet, the one with a midi port in the back. I hooked up my launchpad and it doesn't seem to be working, did all the normal troubleshooting stuff and still nothing. The launchpad works on my laptop usb port but not the duet. Just wondering if I have a fa...

stoping a sample in drum rack instead of just starting over
hey does anyone know if theres a way to stop a sample in drum rack with the same button you trigger it with? For example..i loaded some guitar sounds into the drum rack, and if I press the wrong one I want a way to save myself by stopping it, right now I can't see a way to do that.

Re: colorblindness + apc40
yes, the colors of the pads look very similar to me so its hard to tell which row is the row playing.
There is a work around for the launchpad that i found that changed the row playing to have blinking lights, but I can't find anything like that for the apc40.
know of anything?

apc40, launchpad, apogee 1 with only 2 usb ports
Does anyone recommend using a usb hub live? will it slow down stuff in anyway? Or is there a possible way to connect an apc40, launchpad and an apogee 1 all together with just 2 usb ports?

effects default settings
does anyone know if it's possible to apply a default for the macros effects settings, my idea is that if i have some effects on a channel and i mess around with them live, like delay feedback or whatever, then it would be cool to just press one button and have everything go back to a default that i ...
