Re: Offbeat 1/4 note Repeat ?

Some years later... but I still wish for a better solution. It's so nice to control the velocity by pressure, I get more controlled flowing results by this for hi hats, but this doesn't work with lifting the finger. A way to reduce the quantisation regardless of the chosen note repeat value (1/4, 1/...

Push2 knob spacing is a bit too close for fast turns

When making fast filter turns or something like that on Push2 I often hit accidentally other knobs with my other fingers. This makes fast turns/parameter changes a bit difficult. The knob spacing with the used caps is to close. I never had problems like this on Push1, the spacing worked way better f...

Re: Why I think Lives Groove quantise is wrong (again)

Just a gentle push to put this topic on the table again. I still have to export midi clips in special cases to Cubase to groove quantize them and import them again in Live since 7 years now! When you also think that the note length parameter is missing maybe write this too Ableton too as a re...

Re: M4L Midi LFO doesn't store settings.

It still seems to be a problem here that the sync rate is not saved with the project with the nativ M4L MIDI LFO (seems to work for the "normal" native M4L LFO though). Or did I miss an update? Can anyone confirm?

Re: 9.1.2 Update - Visual Changes

I don't think it's bad in 9.1.2, but I also think it could be better. My simple solution: I will not use a lot of clip colours in the future  . I find the red with white text really irritating for example. But that was also the case before. I never used black with black text in the past for ex...

Re: Ableton, Bitwig etc - get your act together !

I wonder if there once will be a day when a new DAW (version) is released and it just...works. You know, like with Photoshop or alike - Photoshop, Illustrator etc never have crashed on my computer. Not once.No updating problems, no crashing, no problems.Nothing.They just work.As advertised. As they s...

Re: Update LIVE 9 for RETINA !!!

The other thread wasn't quite right. You can change the resolution to mimic non retina resolutions, but scales the graphics when you do so. So you might be able to get rid of the fuzziness people see here, but at the expense of all the graphics being twice as big, including your mouse pointer. :x l...

Re: APC40 MK2

They look great, but imho it's a pity that the mk2 has a 5x8 matrix and not a 8x8. But yeah I guess it's a very individual choice what you value more (space vs knobs)

Re: Anyone use a dual core Macbook Pro with Ableton?

reeloy, that's an very good point. would you say that the current 13" is really more silent while working than the 15"? have you compared it? one additional question...are you doing any serious work on 13" screen or is it just for portability reasons... and all work is done with an external display?...

Re: Anyone use a dual core Macbook Pro with Ableton?

I dont't think there is a right answer to this. I'm in a similar situations between the 13" and the 15". Keep in mind that the 13" is faster than my 4-core desktop from about 4-5 years ago and I still don't have any real performance problems with this thing.

Re: Live 8 on a 13" retina display (pictures)

@Daniel_S When it is like you wrote I do absolutely agree. I suggested exactly that a while ago, but a mbpr user replied that it's also a problem with interpolated settings (using 1650x1050). I don't have a mbpr so I couldn't and can't test it myself. Furthermore I think the best thing with mbpr is ...
