Re: Audio Container / Detail Editor

This one alone would make me switch back to Live. After working with Bitwig for a month I find this ability to pack audio regions/clips into container and loop them in arrangement so easy and convenient way to work with regions/containers. Cubase, Logic and Studio One also has this feature and it's ...

Re: alternatives to Ableton

I have to find another DAW , Ableton crashes many times a day and support can't help me. I'm will to spring for another what would be recommended, I do mostly electronic music composing, more symphonic (classical modern) and alternative / progressive music (lots of sequencers) . I do record long cl...

Re: What's the ONE native plug in you'd like to see added to Live.

An updated plugins rack/container that could easily do (without workarounds) parallel, multiband and mid-side splitting of the group of plugins (something similar like Studio One's Splitter) would be great.
Some character distortion device like SoundToys' Decapitator also would be fine

Re: LES is the Bomb!

It looks good but shame we need to join twitter in order to get it, and in order to join twitter you need to provide your phone number verification - sure  Also, it's silly that users need to program their own scripts in order to make Live's workflow better. LES seems excellent and its functio...

Hopefully we will be able to toggle color opacity in future updates.
I agree, there should be a slider for custom transparency clip settings.

Re: Bitwig 3. Wow.

I'm one of those weird people who just doesn't need that much control over my tools I've learned. That's crazy indepth and powerful, but I'd spend more time messing about versus actually getting stuff done I have a feeling. Still, I know this was a big part of their initial hype, nice to see ...

Re: Any tips for some GOOD studio headphones?

My favorites were Audio Technica ATH M50 until I've realized that they don't translate to my (Genelec 8030) monitors really well, especially in 1K onward spectrum area. They (M50) are sounding great and tight but for listening electronic music but lacking in details in low mid, high end and stereo i...

Re: Loop after consolidate

I agree, it's huge PITA  This is one of bigger reasons why I am sticking more (and getting used to) with Bitwig than Live lately. Live could be perfect DAW if they focus on small workflow things like this which makes big difference - the stuf which we can't add from 3rd party solution (unlike ...

Re: Workflow for vertical zooming of arrangement view?

Yes, even with new V10 features Live's navigation work-flow in arrangement view is pretty basic and bare bones compared to other DAWs. You can, however zoom vertically with ALT+ scroll wheel on selected track. There is also "S" key command which will fit all content to screen but it's pret...

Re: Middle Mouse Button to Pan

I agree with OP, it is way more convenient to use middle click for pan and I never had any problems with it in Cubase or Bitwig (even better as it combines pan and zoom functionality) and after getting used to it, it's very hard to go back to Live's clunky way of doing it. Thankfully there is mouse ...

Re: Live 10 and moving multiple arrange events...STILL fkd ???

Thanks for making the effort. What seems extra strange is that the parts are all there, it's not as if a whole new chunk of the arrange environment needs conceptualising and creating (yes, I know it's not exactly that simple but you get what I'm saying.) Extend the idea a tiny step to the export/re...

Re: Live 10 and moving multiple arrange events...STILL fkd ???

Yes, that was always a big issue for me in Live, especially after using Logic for 10+ years. Seems like the thing is that (when left click and drag) Live is always selecting time and whatever content (or part of it) fits in that time will be selected. By default, it acts similar like Logic's "M...

Re: Ableton 10 is obsolet!

Yeah capture is amazing. Stuff like this is one of the reasons i love Ableton. Companies like to throw around the word innovative but this actually is. And it really coalesces with Ableton's philosophy of facilitating the free flow of creativity. This feature has been in Logic since v5, which is wh...
