Re: song for insomniacs
I was listening to this again this afternoon, including the EP. Just wanted to say that nearly a decade on, I still really like this. Hope you are still making music. Cheers.

Re: Anybody using Patch Base for HW Synth patch editing?
Hi Paddy. I have had things packed away for a while. I was looking for a reason to dig out the TX81z and stumbled across Patch Base while doing some research on the Stereoping controller http://www.stereoping.com/synth-controller-overview-and-features/?lang=en I did download the PB app but need to s...

Re: Triggering scenes with Ableton and LaunchLey
...Having said that, watching videos seems to suggest the way to trigger a scene is to use the launch panel (and use up/down keys to move to the relevant scene to trigger). This sounds like it would potentially mean me having to press more than one key/button in order to change to a different scene...

Re: Need help finding something in Lives Manual - Launch Pad
It's on page 577-587 in chapter 29 in my manual. Just doing a text search for "Launchpad" turned it up in seconds. My manual only has 639 pages though, so maybe you are suing a different version? (mine is still from Live 9.2) (or are you using a dead tree version?!) I am using Live 9.7.2,...

Need help finding something in Lives Manual - Launch Pad
I recently acquired a LaunchPad S. In Lives built in lessons, in the MIDI Control Surfaces Reference section (p41 of 50), you make your way to a page about the Launch Pad. The following is a quote from the built in lessons... "Because this controller has so many control possibilities, we have w...

Re: Novation LAUNCHKEY-61
There is no frame when using my LaunchKey Mk1. However, when using both the track and scene selector buttons on the LaunchKey, Lives UI changes its colour/shade for the chosen track or scene. This tells you what is in focus, so no need for the red frame.

I did not choose replace. It is 9.2 coming down the pipes but for some reason it thinks 9.1.10 is newer.stevemac wrote:Thanks dude, but if the one in the location has a 'newer name', would that suggest it's already there!?re:dream wrote:Replace.
But I did not get that message. It just installed , quick as a snake.

Re: "Crackling" sound on recordings
I have similar issues after updating the Firestudio drivers. Specifically mine are to do with exporting audio. It seems like levels have changed somehow and things get distorted. I have also noticed when playing songs from iTunes there is distortion where there was none before. I think it is a Preso...
