I'm curious as to what the rationale is behind making Link and Follow exclusive... I was hoping it'd be simple enough to use a mic to set the tempo, and then just have my 2nd linked application read that BPM and follow along, but alas. What happens to me if I Collect All And Save is that the 'new' device it creates (so that it is referenced in the project folder itself instead of pointing to the amxd in my User Library) breaks and goes mysteriously empty grey box.

My suggestion would be for you to open up your default Live set, and then go to the browser and drag in tracks (except for the ones with the problematic plugin) and try to 'rebuild' it that way. Going through similar issue. Sets that have worked fine no problem before are now bogged down and constantly buffering, and it goes through this super slow process each and every time I reload a set. I am just bumping this thread in the hopes that it gets seen.

Good God almighty, this indexer issue is causing problems. Bumping this in the hope that Ableton gets their crap together and disables / fixes this issue. Absolutely horrible.
