Get the chorder plugin and do this
first 0 , second 3, third 7, fourth 10
fifth -24.
I think that's right, but you should get an instant Detroit chord.

Re: Edirol FA 66 or Motu 4pre (shoplifter reckoned 4pre)
I've been using the FA66 for 5-6 years too, on my old white macbook and now on my new MBP and I've not had one issue with it. Make sure you set the sample rate correctly on the back, 44.1 should be ok, and make sure you turn track monitoring off when you record in ableton (this by-passes latency cor...

Re: Rendering Problems 8.2.1 PC (Asio vs MME)
Turn dithering turned off, try bouncing at 16bit (32bit is way too high). Other than that make sure you're not peaking on any channels, try and keep the mix at 0db. Tip. you can put any plugin that's stopping you freeze a track on a separate send channel, so you can freeze the track and send that si...

Re: Logic vs Live
I moved over to Logic 9 over the last 4 months, best thing I ever did, I use ableton to do my time-stretching and sketches and then the final arrangement in logic. The reverbs, delays & some of the utilities in Logic 9 are truly next level and I've got to admit it's been a lot easy do good mix d...

Re: asdfghjkl GROUND LOOP
This is the solution. Get an extention cable that can accommodate all your equipemnt, open up the plug and take the wire out of the ground pin, wrap it in insulating tape, close the plug back up. Basically what you're doing is creating a power supply where the ground is separate from the rest of you...

Re: Huge cpu load when using racks... workarounds?
I've found that viewing the rack so the rack instrument is displayed makes the problem go away temporarily. Noticed this is issue is fixed in B13 btw

Re: Chord Selector MIDI Effect - A gift for you!
This should be included as standard within Ableton, I can't tell you how useful this has been to me in the last year. My music's really come to life and I've finally got my head around chords. Thank you! :) I'll upload the modified version I did, basically separated the minor and major into separate...

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
Seriously it's the drum racks they're broken, you only need view the drumrack once after loading the project for it to go away. I literally have the same issue all the time!codemac wrote: and a few drum racks (the session should be only opened, not started).

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
A few things to check What sample rate is your soundcard set too? Hint try 44.1 khz If you're using Ableton 8 then it might be down to a bug I've found, where opening a project with a drumrack in it will cause the CPU to go hay wire, this can be resolved by double-clicking on the drumrack track to d...

Treating/mixing vocal down
So I've got my first vocal to mix down into a track, both are sounding great, but one or two vocal sections sound a little flat, does anyone have any tips for improving them. I'd prefer not use auto tune etc.
Thanks x

Re: Ableton Sucks Again..
Nah, what are you talking about, try and use any legitimate plugin with it and there is literally a 50/50 chance it'll crash out. Modifying racks also appears to under certain circumstances crash ableton out, changing the audio device driver after a session of 30 mins will crash ableton out, changin...
