Re: Bitwig 2 was just announced. What about Live 10?

Bitwig 2 is rock solid for me (Windows) and I havent touched Live since it came out as the modulators (and cv for my Eurorack with ES-8) are just too good. I think Ableton went all in with Push, they are a hell of a long way behind Bitwig in terms of features, but I am hanging on to my licence as Li...

Re: Better than Bitwig?

I use both, but to be honest now use BWS a lot more than Live due the the in clip editing, better audio editing and linier features and the fun modulation possibilities....but I expect Live to come back strong with 10.... To me MAX is the only killer feature of live over BWS Second hand BWS licences...

Re: Omnisphere seems meh to me.

I have upgraded to Omni 2 almost without thinking as I had enjoyed one (and have VIP, so the upgrade was discounted) There is certainly a lot of new stuff, some cool new sounds, effects and engines...but for some reason I just haven't been drawn to it - Omni 1 was for a while a long way ahead of oth...

Re: Ableton Live 10

The next version of live is an important one post BITWiG and so e pretty impressive DAW updates (cubase 8, S1v3 etc). Live realy needs to decide if it wants to be a mainstream DAW with the required linear editing features (comping etc) or a niche product for DJs and loop based music. Personally I ho...

Re: Electron Overbridge with Live

The A4 has 4x CV out, not bad, but the Dominion 1 is definitely better if you don't need a sequencer (it has one anyway, but not the step and pattern sequencer as on the A4 and RTYM which is a major selling point) the A4 is also a fantastic drum machine as you can have a different analog sound on ea...

Re: Electron Overbridge with Live

A4 isn't a drum synth (that's RYTM), the A4 is a 4 voice analog synth (or 8 oscillator mono synth!) I have the A4 and the mfb dominion 1 on order (they aren't available at the moment....end of June maybe) If I could only have one, it would be the A4, 8 oscillators and 8 subs make a pretty impressive...

Re: Electron Overbridge with Live

I haven't done too much yet- but it is fantastic interface for editing and making new sounds. Sync works once selected in OB, nice. Audio works along side my main soundcard (go in and select OB as the soundcard, set up your channels etc, but your original soundcard still works) The magic is it just ...

Re: Bitwig Studio 1.2 'mind-blowing free update'

I still haven't gotten any coupon to get Bazille free. I'm not sure how they are doing that (you just bought BitWig?) - I already owned BitWig so just logged in to my account to get the voucher code- have you logged in to your account on the BW site to see if its there? PS- Check this out - absolut...

Re: Bitwig Studio 1.2 'mind-blowing free update'

There is no ReWire support but if you want to route audio and/or MIDI between different applications (even 4-5 applications at once), you can use the JACK Audio Connection Kit, which is available for OSX, Win and Linux. http://jackaudio.org/ 'Have you ever wanted to take the audio output of one pie...

Re: reverb alternative to ableton reverb

Valhalla Room is considered to be one of the best sounding reverbs by reputable magazines (SOS etc.) and general forum feedback. I own Room and Eventide Ultrareverb which is very good- I prefer Room however, and Room id $50. Coupled with UberMod (which I just bought) you pretty much have everything ...

Re: is it just me or i can't find a better piano then abletons

It's all about how the piano sounds in a mix, assuming it's not solo. The korg m1 piano still sounds great for house, just about any piano may work in pop and dance mixes. Fir classical/solo piano I use East west piano (gold), samples take about 4 minutes to load if you have all 3 Mike positions but...
