Re: Ableton Push 3 update
If they ever make a new PUSH they should consider making it water proof (ingress protection) as even the smallest amount of liquid (beer/coffee) spilled on the pads get inside the unit and inhibit it working properly (I know from first hand experience!) - given that they are supposed to used 'Live' ...

Tips for opening and contact cleaning your PUSH 2
**Warning** This will invalidate your warranty so don't do it unless you have problems and/or are out of warranty! Hello All I was having issues with my PUSH 2- some pads required a lot more PUSH than others for the same velocity etc, made playing chords etc difficult- I suspected dirty contacts so...

Re: Bitwig 4.0 announced
Obviously Bigwig completely ripped off Ableton Live, they were working for Ableton before they left and set up Bitwig...but that was over seven years ago now so its time to move on! Did they do anything illegal- No, people do this all of the time in every industry. Did they change it a bit and impro...

Re: Bitwig 4.0 announced
A bunch of guys left Steinberg to make Studio On which is similar to Cubase... A bunch of guys left Ableton to make Bitwig which is similar to Live... Happens all of the time, take the basic idea/structure and try and improve on it. It isn't necessarily a zero sum game, sometimes both products diver...

Re: Ableton Push 3 update
I have fairly recently bought a PUSH2, personally I don't want or need it to do or be anything else. I can see that some people may benefit from a different versions of PUSH- not a V3 but a maybe a PUSH MINI (smaller backpack version) or a PUSH Performer (PUSH with integrated USB soundcard, headphon...

Re: Bitwig 4.0 announced
I don't think the point of mentioning Bitwig here is to sell it to anyone, merely to see if any of their ideas should be or could be implemented in Live. After all, a lot of the best things about Bitwig was 'copied' from Live (the Bitwig Dev's came from Ableton) so what goes around... For example, L...

Re: Ableton's Piano Roll?
If I was always going compose entire songs just using just piano roll and a mouse I would use FL Studio.
But I wouldn't do that, so I don't.

Re: Bitwig 4.0 announced
I started using Bitwig when it hit V2 about 4 years ago and didn't use Live much after that until Live hit V11. I am a big fan of comping and started using Live again...now Bitwig has also added comping (but no midi comping) its a close run thing, but having both is a great option! I really miss the...

Re: Ableton Push 3 update
Same can be said for AKAI MPC, but they sold a ton of units....NI obviously took notice and went standalone with Machine+
If they sell a lot Ableton will take notice, its a business after all and some people (maybe a lot of people) like to work without a computer....

Re: Push 3 first image
No interest unless its MPE (I still won't get one, but at least it means MPE is coming to the software!) If it is real, you know where all this years development time has gone!! I hope they have haven't overlooked all the very necessary software updates that are needed and/or just focused on their h...

Re: Ableton Live 10.2 / 10.5 when?
After such a long delay I thought that was what was going to happen with Live 10.
I couldn't have been more underwhelmed.

Re: Ableton Live 10.2 / 10.5 when?
Ableton have been moving incredibly slowly for years. A new synth here, or perhaps an effect device. Decades pass and it's not really gained much. Looking at DAW such as Studio One , it's impressive to see the development and progress. If someone were to ask me about headline features in L10 I'm no...

Re: Ableton Live 10.2 / 10.5 when?
well I hope the next release focuses on midi MPE, piano roll scale snapping, actual midi channels, delay compensated external midi output, etc. they have a bit of catching up to do. Its unlikely they will ever 'catch up' as other DAWS are moving forward at a faster rate adding new stuff and custome...
