That makes sense. So when the computer comes up asking for a Library location, just direct them to that folder and it'll realise the samples are already there?

OT - did you write a tune a few years ago called Abmiram or something like? That was a lovely tune

Archive and install should be ok, but its not really starting new. What I'd do is this:

Plug in external hd, clone it using Carbon Copy Cloner . Now start your mac up with your Install cd in, hold down 'c' to boot from CD then erase and install.

Providing your choose your Mac HD and not your boot ...

I'd vote for this too..

We have the same problem where I work. If you got a solution - I'd be interested to hear it. It'd be nice to not have our server killed by 100 copies of the same sample library
