i upgraded on release day, because i am lackadasical, and I can't think of a single crash that wasn't plugin-related (and those are few and far between) between then and now. And that was the first build.
So I would say you should go for it (if you can justify the cost!)

Re: consolidating - clip gain bug
I can reproduce this, and it is strange behaviour but it seems deliberate (as in "feature not bug").
It seems that when consolidating, Ableton notes the max peak of all the files, normalizes , consolidates, and then removes gain so it peaks where it did before.

Re: 2 quick questions!
It's normal behaviour, you have to click on a warp marker (green boxes above the waveform display). You are adjusting the tempo of the section after that warp marker.

ableton stealing computer keyboard from plugins
I recently moved to Mac (OSX 10.5.8, 15" Mac Book Pro), and I've been getting infuriating behaviour when typing things into plugins. When I use the backspace key, the stroke somehow gets hijacked by Live and interpreted as a "delete", and the plugin gets deleted accordingly. This seems to happen in ...

random timing, but still quantized
I'm sure this is possible, but I just can't figure it out. I'm trying to randomize the timing of one of my drum hits during a breakdown, so that it could come in on any (or none) of the four 16th notes in a beat, for part of a live performance. However, this is dance music so I want it to stay ...

[4939] Line round time-signature missing
This is most visible on the "Clouds" colour scheme; it's only a tiny thing but it's actually quite annoying... I'm only reporting this because it seems no-one has noticed it, it hasn't changed in any of the recent betas.

[amo] typing controls while adjusting device on/off
1. Set up a clip envelope to turn a device on and off sequentially.
2. Click on the value and try to type a new one, while the device turns itself on and off. (don't press return)
3. The control resets itself to its original number, and you need to click elsewhere on the screen to de-select it and ...

[amo] export audio/video tries to save as ALS
Unless you change the name of the audio file (ie, if you leave it with the default name; that of the Live Set) it will try to overwrite your Live Set file. Please confirm.
