Re: Using Live 8.0 for Live performances

Tom Cosm's video is great, seems so obvious :)

There is a nice big space on the right of session view that would fit 6 more tracks in. Perfect to drag in another tune's 6-tracks from the browser for mixing together!

It's a shame there is no 'magic button' as it seems like it would take an hour or ...

Re: Live performance set-up; how to split a MIDI keyboard in 2?

You need to use the instrument rack to split a keyboard across two instruments. insert a blank instrument rack and drag both VSTis into it. then you expand the instrument rack down the bottom and open the 'key' section. you can then reduce the range for which each VSTi is triggered (the default is ...

I have button 1 setup with CNT 1 and CNT 2 active, CNT sends a CC of 127, and CNT 2 sends a CC of 0.

Now when i press button 1, a scene launches. I press button one again, and live moves to the next scene. i press again, scene 2 launches. so close, but yet so far ...

hey again!

Reviewing this post I hope I've hit upon the solution (I haven't tested it yet).

When configuring say, button 1, button 6 is the 'on' CC#, and button 7 is the 'off' CC#. If this is right, all should be good!

If this is the case, setting the velocity of 6 to 127, and the velocity of 7 ...

Hello all, I hope you can help. Since updating live I have a problem with 'select next scene on launch', I found a post explaining why, I can't work out how to reference it but i searched for all terms of "select next scene on launch" in the forum and it came third:

the live manual tells you exactly how to work it, but if you're playing a melody in the key of E minor for example, set the 1st resonator to E, then set res 2 to +3 semitones (3rd note of the minor scale), res 3 to +7 (5th note of the scale). that gives you the basic chord of E minor, I like ...

I can't check the youtube video at work but a couple of suggestions are to use the resonator to pull out certain notes/frequencies, and if possible get a top quality piano instrument. I haven't used Akoustik Keyz but if it's free I'm assuming it's not amazing. simple pianos always lack something in ...
