Re: Browsing "User Library"

should be able to do that by modifying the BrowserComponent.py file in the Push script. I took a look at it when the beta came out and am looking forward to what can be done with the new "Places" browser query. I'll check back in when they release an official vers!

Re: help needed modifying push scripts

Gah, it appears to be more complicated. It's not just that I haven't got the syntax right above, but also that I can't insert any modifications in the remote scripts successfully. Like, including just opening the push.py and inserting a single character in one of the comment lines. Any modification...

Re: any word from abes on the poor user browsing in push?

You still need to add files and tag them in Maschine for them to come up in the Browser...not quite out of the box but very close and amazing once setup. One cool thing w/ Push + Browser hack is once you have your folders setup, adding samples to the folders automatically adds them into the Browser ...

Re: any word from abes on the poor user browsing in push?

here's the tutorial on customizing the browser. long, but i hope it makes sense: http://jointhestudio.com/tutorial-ableton-push-browser-category-hack-by-dj-limbs/ Abe's factory content is all in the Core Library folder so you can just delete what you don't like from there. I did that and it helped s...

Re: Drum rack panning

seems like the "device chain" vol + panning aren't accessible from Push, but you can adjust the panning in the Sampler/Simpler you use..or if it's a synth w/o those cuntrols, like ctspell said with a Utility plug in.

[ on the .py adjustments: again, many thanks to dj limbs for doing ableton's work for them! looking forward to the tutorial (although it looks as if the link to the modified .py file is dead?). Thanks for catching that...weird, I see the file on the server but I also can't get to it. I put it on Go...

Re: How to make custom categories in Browser's Drum Hits!!

I just finished writing the tutorial and submitted it. Here's a preview of how the Browser works when it's setup: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH8Dn3gDy-I The tutorial should be posted soon! If you're in a rush, you can download the BrowserComponent.py file here and throw it in the Push Remote Scr...

Re: any word from abes on the poor user browsing in push?

i've been working on improving Push's browser by hacking the VirtualFolders.cfg and BrowserComponent.pyc files in Live. I emailed Ableton asking for some advice/tips and they said it's generally unsupported to modify those files. They also mentioned they aren't able to comment on how browsing will c...

Re: How to make custom categories in Browser's Drum Hits!!

Re: Abes please implement Drum Hits subfolders based on source!!

got 'em working! will post info once I get everything together and thoroughly test. I was also able to navigate to VSTs/AU's but unfortunately pressing the load button them would not pop 'em up in Live.
