Firstly, I've done some searching in the Forum and the manual and can't find the information I'm looking for. I feel kinda silly cause I know this app inside and out and I tried something very simple tonight for the first time and am getting very frustrated.... I want to record a MIDI part that uses...

2. drag midi files from stylus to that folder.
3. point lives browser to that folder and drag to the appropriate midi track

Firewire ports
The beauty of firewire is that you can daisy chain : ) In most cases, you don't need to ports on the computer to get two devices hooked up. All firewire hard drives have two firewire ports on them (plug one into the computer and the other into the second device) and almost all modern firewire audio ...

I'm currently scratching my chin over the laptops at www.acernotebooks.co.uk Hmm..I actually have a couple of friends with Acer laptops so I should ask them how they like them. Unfortunately, though, Acer laptops are only sold with Intel chips in the US (at least as far as I could see). Anyone else...

Re: Windows boxes
Same situation as you... There is NOTHING available from Apple that currently gives me this amount of power on the road, except if I was willing to trod around between gigs with an X-Serve G5. (LOL!..) D. Werd! I was actually considering doing that until I read that the X-Serve weighs something aro...

Thanks for the advice so far. Anyone else out there with experience using different laptops--maybe you've got friends whose laptops you've compared with your own. It seems to be clear that the Centrino runs cooler than the P4, but is it as powerful? Also, about the Athlon 64, it sounds really great ...

What's the optimal laptop for Live
I've been a happy Mac user for years but now that my main audio application is Live and it runs WAY better on PC, I decided to purchase a PC laptop just to run Live along with some of my soft synths (which also happen to run better on PC). My question to this forum is, "What laptop should I get...

live electronic music performance
Goon, great idea to have a 4 Ableton sync'd laptop jam. I've been doing it lately but just with 2. There should be an Ableton band, no? The topic of live electronic music performance is a big issue with me. I remember going to my first concert of an electronic musician, u-ziq. I loved his records so...
