well, i received the 2.04 update, now its all good! so get the update, i had same probs....now there gone....

i have all updates for absynth, and a fast machine, good ram, etc..... for some reason reaktor works for me.....dont know how, but absynth freezes, or only plays one sound and usually fuc*s my set because i have to restart live 4.....so how did you get absynth to work?

i believe that you solo when you actually only want to hear one part, but you can hit the speaker looking button just above the solo button, for listening to multiple tracks aka multiple track soloing.....hope it helps

i tried to load the absynth 2.01, and it shows the interface, and only makes 1 horrible hising sound that wont quit until i restart ableton....other synths seem to do well in live 4 though!
