I am trying to use the EMU Proteus X2 VST synth in Live 7 and am not having much luck. The Proteus X2 always works fine in standalone mode, which doesn't help since it's not rewire compatible. Update if anyone cares: I discovered the VST dll file or whatever it was in two places on my harddrive. I removed one of them and then everything worked!!!...but The next day Proteus X2 froze up Ableton when I tried loading it. Any ideas why something would be this intermitant? Well today there was no error messages when I opened Live. However, Live still freezes when I try to drag Proteus X2 onto a track. Any ideas??

Hey just saw the thread. I'm in the KC area. Using Live a ton and just started this year working on a new album using mostly Live Suite and my Moog Little Phatty. It's been a learning experience so far.

I just installed Ableton 7 Suite and none of the instruments (Analog, Tension, etc) have presets. I assume there are supposed to be presets right? How do I install them? Thanks!
