Hands-on polyrhytmic drums?

Hi there. I am a long fan of polyrhytms in music, but I always find it somewhat awkward to program polyrhytmic drums, in the Live-box. Re: What instrument should I learn theory on; Piano or Guitar?

I'd say something totally different. Learning to play the guitar after several years of playing the piano has forced me to actually THINK what I play and how I play, while on the piano it's mostly mechanical, unless you're Chopin or smbdy. Playing the guitar and thinking in intervals is more creativ...

and while there are many good tutorials out there - both in written word and movies - it's really better to just experiment. Sad but true :)

My guess is that the old hardware, based on low-end chips, got pricier to manufacture.

Re: LPC Ditto - Push Emulation

light feedback gets lost after changing modes and in drum sequencer mode (ditto-c). First of all, please make sure that you’re using the latest version (v1.0.6), which you can download from the same page you used to download previous versions. Secondly, make sure that you’ve set up ClyphX according...

Re: Ever seen a soundcard with low latency without using ASIO?

Why do you want to avoid ASIO? I have no real reason ;) I just want to know if it is possible nowadays (thanks to WDM or Win7 or Win8 audio management) to have low latency without using ASIO . From what I recall, the driver is called WaveRT, and the problem is that both the hardware and software ha...

Surely the differences are more significant that that, though?
Actually it is a biggie for me ;) The rest doesn't matter, as I have other controllers.

Re: LPC Ditto - Push Emulation

From what I remember, LPC has no triplets in the sequencer. Correct me if I am wrong. Ditto should have them if it emulates Push.

Live lite 9?

So what about live lite? Will 8 users be able to upgrade to 9? Or is lite a dead product? I guess it would be better if we got an answer here. Personally, I'm fine with the limited lite edition, so I will be sticking with it for some time, and I don't need anything from live 9 apart from the revampe...
