Is it possible to load a sample, have it chop it self then assign itself to to different controls on drum rack or a midi keyboard? I do this on Fruity Loops using beat slicer and I'm curious if there's a way to do it on AL.

There was a contest were 12 contestants had to create an album in 12 hours using $12 worth of source material purchased at thrift stores (records, instruments, etc).

OK I tried doing this with a real instrument (guitar) as well. What I'm trying to do is play the guitar once and have that loop while I add another layer of guitar on top of it.

1. I recorded the Guitar with the output going to another blank audio clip

I tried using both an internal Vsti and the ableton instruments.

How do I do this? I was working in the Session view originally. Like I said I'm brand new to this. I usually work with fruity loops and it plays both at the same time and Live is a totally different animal than FL.
