I was wondering if anyone would like to share how they tune their drum sounds to fit their tracks. For example, can anyone suggestion an easy way to tune a kick drum, snare sound, etc..
I currently use Logics built in tuner to tune the kick drum to the root note of the scale I am working in and then ...

Schwartzinator Reverse Engineering
I need help. I want to reverse engineer the Schwartzinator Max4Live device and it's small companion device so that I can create my own scales and have chords played correctly in my chosen scale. Can anyone help me do this? I am a firm believer in the "teach a man to fish and he can feed himself ...

Re: APC40 and Max4Live
I don't think novation would provide a patch to be usable with the akai's APC40... but yeah, I'm also a little unclear as to what you were referring to. Any clarification?

APC40 and Max4Live
I just saw that Novation has released a patch for Max4Live for use with their launchpad controller. Any ideas on when this kind of program/patch for max4live will be available for the APC40?

Re: DJing in Live 8
The only problem with re-pitch is that I use mixed-in-key to stamp my songs with a particular code so I can throw them into a mix and know there will be no key clashes.. if I used re-pitch, it would change the key of the song I'm wanting to throw in.

DJing in Live 8
So I'm a little late upgrading to Live 8, I haven't had much time recently to devote to music as I've been in a pretty intensive course learning Chinese. However, I'm wanting to pick it back up and I noticed that when I use Beat warp mode in Live 8, I am getting all sorts of weird audio glitches on ...

need help with mic-pre amps
Ok, here goes...
I have a macbook pro and am using Live 8, Logic 8, and Reason 4
I have two audio interfaces an older focusrite Saffire (the white stand-up version) and a novation nio 2/4
I want to inject some warmth into my drums, synths, and productions in general and am looking at two cheap mic ...

Re: Need help with mic-pre amps
No, Neither have tubes (though the focusrite has a great mic-pre... but's it's not an actual tube).
It's just all in a quest to get warmer sounds. I have read about many producers who swear by putting their sounds through an external mic-pre to warm up the sound and make it bigger. Plus I would ...

Re: Need Serious help with Getting that Analog Sound
... you sniff your own farts...thanks for the help...
I have read that many producers do this to add warm tube distortion to their drums and or synths... I was just wondering if the method I have described above would work or would is there a better way to go about incorporating a pre-amp

Live 7's Spectral Analyzer
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a great tutorial (or tutorials) to help me get to grips with using Live's new Spectrum Analyzer? The manual is not really helpful in explaining what it's all about and more precisely, how to use it effectivley (especially for different ...
